BTX Bitvocation Talent Exchange

If you are looking to get your foot in the door of the Bitcoin industry and be able to put your first Bitcoin "Proof of Work" on your resume - join the Bitvocation Talent Exchange (BTX).

Bitvocation Community Layers

Since 2023, Bitvocation has been providing resources and insights for individuals interested in pursuing careers in Bitcoin. With a focus on education and accessibility, our goal is to empower Bitcoiners with the knowledge and tools they need to find their first job in the industry.

1. Free Bitvocation Job Feed

Since 2023, we’ve been providing the Bitvocation Feed on Telegram for Bitcoiners who are looking for an efficient way to stay uptodate with all the latest Bitcoiner jobs. Simply subscribe to the feed and let the job offers come to you!

In 2024 we also integrated it in Nostr, so you can also follow the Bitvocation Bot there.

2. POW (Proof Of Work) Lab

In 2024 we launched the POW Lab - an inexpensive educational community for Bitcoin professionals who want to become more findable by recruiters and hiring managers.

Since most hiring - even in Bitcoin - still takes place on LinkedIn, we focused primarily on profile and network growth on LinkedIn in this group. We are currently in the process of revamping this program and adding tons more benefits to it, including joining the Bitvocation Database of Bitcoin Professionals.

Since we’re getting more and more requests from employers to have a curated database of Bitcoiners to tap into, we realized the need to create one and will make it part of the POW Lab. Learn more and join the wait list for the POW Lab here.

3. BTX - Bitvocation Talent Exchange

With the BTX, we're taking things one step further and offer you a practical way to put your first work experience in Bitcoin on your resumé, especially if you’re looking for non-dev roles. Our goal at Bitvocation is to help Bitcoiners find their first job in Bitcoin, and we can do this best if we have first hand experience in working with you.

The BTX offers no financial rewards, but its purpose is to accelerate your job search. We do our best to recommend and connect you with valuable contacts and suitable hiring managers.

What kind of roles or tasks are available in the BTX?

Whether it is web design, graphic design, video editing, content creation, representing us at conferences, social media, AI automation, or other skills you have - we will probably need them as we continue building Bitvocation.

We will make calls in the POW Lab when we need help with specific tasks, but we are also open to suggestions. If you have specific skills, that you’d love to demonstrate and get an endorsement for - contact us! We are always open to create win-win’s!

Why is the BTX important?

In order to find work in Bitcoin you need two main ingredients: Proof of Work and a strong network.

The BTX gives you both: You will be able to demonstrate your skills, receive endorsements for them, and have not only Anja in your immediate network, but all the other BTX members as well. They will all eventually move on to work for Bitcoin companies, where they can recommend and refer you, which will make your network stronger and stronger.

Bitvocation did not start out as a recruitment agency, though we are gradually moving in that direction. When we help companies with recruitment, our goal is to be able to make quality recommendations and create great matches. We can do this best, if we actually know you and have first-hand experience in working with you.

BTX Details

BTX members will not be financially compensated, but receive the benefits listed below in return for their contribution. This programm aims to attract only Bitcoiners who want to authentically be able to establish their first proof of work and therefore consider this exchange a win-win.

Here's what you'll gain from joining us:

  • Mentorship: Guidance and support from Anja

  • Referrals and Recommendations: You'll be in Anja's "little black book" and be top of mind for referrals and recommendations when opportunities arise

  • First "Proof of Work" in Bitcoin: Add Bitvocation to your CV/resume as your first experience in the Bitcoin ecosystem

  • Endorsement: Receive a testimonial from Anja upon completion of your term with Bitvocation

This is NOT an internship

The purpose of this exchange is to give you an opportunity to showcase your existing skills within the Bitcoin ecosystem, so you can start your transition from a traditional fiat role to a new career in Bitcoin.

  • You're passionate about Bitcoin and eager to immerse yourself in the industry

  • You possess the skills required for the desired tasks, supported by previous experience in other industries

  • You can meet agreed deadlines and demonstrate reliability and responsiveness

How to apply

Available roles and tasks will be published in the POW Lab community and we will make application forms available for each role.

As mentioned above, we are always open for suggestions, though. So feel free to message us, if there’s anything you’d like to contribute. Please keep the following things in mind:

  • Approach your application like an entrepreneur showcasing their services.

  • Focus on your passion for Bitcoin and how you want to contribute to Bitvocation's mission.

  • Share examples of your previous work and demonstrate your capabilities through practical examples.

  • “Show, don’t tell.” We are not interested in your cv, but in seeing your skills in action. If you want to create e.g. video reels or shorts for us, don’t send us a document that says you can do that, but simply create some! Don’t wait for permission :)

  • Mention in your message that you are aware that this is an unpaid contribution, and explain why you are interested in doing this without financial rewards.

It doesn't matter how many years of experience you have, how young or old you are and what your background is - what's important is that you have the required skills to make an impact on Bitvocation's future and growth.
